With effect 28th March 2024 Jan Pentecost has resigned as President of Grey Power Federation New Zealand Inc.
Jan has had to put her family before Grey Power, which is as good a reason as anybody could possibly have.
Naturally this news has shocked many in the Grey Power membership, but fortunately the circumstances and actions required now by the remaining Board members are defined in the Federation Constitution (and probably further explained in the Governance Manual, which is the Board’s Bible, and not available to Associations.)
So normal business should continue until the Federation Annual General in June, at which meeting a new President will be elected.
Rumours are swirling already about “What Happens Next” in sufficient numbers and at sufficient volume to have made it north of the Brynderwyns already. It may well be that those stirring the rumour mill should take a wee moment to read the rules…

I would like to also thank Bruce Crowther the Zone 1 Director for his services to all three Associations in Northland, his writing of the Goss our Northland Grey Power magazine, Bruce has been a fantastic supporter of us all here in Northland and from a personal position he has been extremely helpful for me and our Far North Association, now that Bruce has pulled the plug on his Directorship I say to him, “Go well my friend you deserve the break” may our friendship continue, and long may you continue to write and Edit the Goss.
